With the January transfer window in full swing, Mauricio Pochettino spoke before the Premier League game against Leicester about the need to find the right player.
Speaking to the BBC ahead of the game, Mauricio said:
“The market is very difficult in winter and our power is in the changing room, in the squad, the team. It’s not about one name, one player more or less.”
“It’s important to find the right player who can help us. That player will come, but if he doesn’t it’s not a big worry for me.”
Pochettino also spoke about Tottenham’s current striker problem, with Harry Kane being the only fit natural striker that Spurs have with Clinton N’Jie currently sidelined after surgery. It has meant that when needed, Son has been used as a striker instead of his preferred position of left wing.
When speaking about the problem, the Spurs manager said:
“I can understand people are concerned we need one striker more, but we are very confident in following the same direction as the first half of the season.”
