A Dele Alli goal and a Harry Kane penalty in the first-half, as well as a late strike from Kane in the second half ensured that Tottenham left Carrow Road with three points on Tuesday evening.
The first-half saw Spurs go into the lead within two minutes of kick-off, when Dele Alli tapped in after Christian Eriksen’s shot was parried out to the young English midfielder. Alli was also involved in the second Spurs goal, after he was fouled when attempting to shoot. The resulting spot kick saw Harry Kane fire past Declan Rudd in the Norwich goal to give Spurs a comfortable 2-0 lead heading into half-time.

Dele Alli was substituted at half-time, as he was feeling unwell, but it made little difference as Spurs went into cruise control in the second-half, although Norwich had a clearly offside goal ruled out and Harry Kane hit the post after a quick counter attack from the visitors. However, Spurs did eventually add a third when Kane curled the ball past Rudd in the dying moments.
The result means that Spurs move into third, ahead of Arsenal on goal difference, only five points off Leicester City who currently occupy first place.
