Victor Wanyama is reluctant to sign a new contract with Southampton amid interest from Spurs, according to the Mirror.
In last summer’s transfer window, Wanyama submitted a transfer request in order to try and force through a move to White Hart Lane, although Southampton held firm and refused to let their star midfielder leave.
However, Southampton could be forced to let Wanyama leave in the summer, with the Kenyan midfielder reluctant to sign a new five-year deal with Southampton, with Mauricio Pochettino rumoured to be interested in bringing his former player to North London.

If Pochettino did sign Wanyama, it would surely signal the end of either Ryan Mason’s or Nabil Bentaleb’s Tottenham career, with Spurs well stocked in the central midfield area, with the likes of Eric Dier, Tom Carroll, Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele competing for places.
If Wanyama was to leave the Saints in the summer, it would bring an end to a three year stay on the South Coast after he joined Southampton from Celtic for a reported £12.5 million in the summer of 2013.
