Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for his side after they beat title rivals Manchester City 2-1 away from home, in a performance he described as ‘the perfect performance’.
Spurs were often on the back foot against a Manchester City side who found it tough to break down the team with the best Premier League defensive record.
However, a Harry Kane penalty in the second half, plus a late Christian Eriksen goal after Iheancaho had equalized saw Spurs gain a vital three points in their challenge for the Premier League title.

Speaking to BBC Sport after the game, Pochettino said:
“I think that it was a game that was very important. You could feel it was not a normal game and a real test for us; for that we feel very pleased for the players.
“The mentality was good and a perfect performance against a team with a lot of quality players who are top class. Full credit to my players.”

Pochettino also spoke about the penalty decision, which saw Raheem Sterling block a cross from Danny Rose with his arm, before Harry Kane fired home from the spot.
Pochettino said:
“From my point of view, I did not see the penalty incident. Sometimes in football it happens, it goes for you and against you in the season.”
After the fantastic win against Manchester City, Pochettino will now turn his focus to the game against Fiorentina which takes place on Thursday, before the visit of Crystal Palace in the fifth round of the FA Cup next weekend.
