Player Ratings: Crystal Palace (H)

A disappointing 0-1 defeat for Spurs in a game they really should have won after the amount of chances they created.

Tottenham flew out of the blocks, crafting a number of opportunities in the game’s opening stages; first going close when a diving Dele Alli header at the back post appeared to be handled on the line by Yohan Cabaye.

It was Alli who looked to have put the home side ahead minutes later when his shot hit one post before rolling across the line and hitting the other, following a fantastic run by Heung-Min Son.

However the Lilywhites would pay for not capitalising on their opportunities when Martin Kelly fired past Michel Vorm at his near post in first-half stoppage time.

The second half, much like the first was largely one-sided, but yet again the North Londoners could not find the breakthrough and Spurs’ dream of a first FA Cup victory since 1991 is over for another year.
