Once upon a time, a game between Tottenham and Aston Villa was a game between two teams battling for European football.
However, much has changed since then and whilst the Lilywhites still compete at the top end, Villa have been battling relegation for a number of years and this season find themselves at the bottom of the Premier League.
This has meant that recently, games between the two sides have regularly resulted in wins for the team from North London, but occasionally Villa have managed to put up a fight and gain a result.
Spurs head into the game on Sunday, having only won one of their last three games in the Premier League and looking to get their title push back on track. Villa however, have lost their last four and are conceding goals with ease as they plummet towards the Championship.
