Marseille are looking to beat Schalke to the signing of Tottenham left-back Danny Rose this week.
The transfer deadline is coming on Friday, with Schalke reportedly interested in a deal for the England international.
The Daily Star now claim that Marseille are in the mix, as Rose eyes an exit from Tottenham.
Ben Davies is currently ahead of Rose in the pecking order at Tottenham, leaving him to consider his future.
Rose could be set to miss out on his place in the England squad due to his lack of game-time, opening up the possibility of a loan move to France.
Schalke were thought to be in talks with Tottenham over a loan deal for Rose, although there have been no updates on that as of yet.
Marseille now look set to swoop in and try to seal a deal for the left-back before Friday’s deadline and offer him a way out of England.
