Tottenham eyeing late move for Napoli’s Elseid Hysaj

Tottenham are keen on signing Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj, according to Sky Sports.

Juan Foyth seemed a viable option for the right-back position in the upcoming season following the departure of Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid. However, he sustained an injury and could be out of action for a while.

Spurs have been eager to sign another right-back ever since Trippier left and with Foyth injured, the North London club will be even more desperate for a right-back.

Hysaj has made 170 appearances for Napoli since joining the club from Empoli in 2015. Last season, the Albanian international made 35 appearances acoss all competitions for the Gli Azzurri, providing two assists.

The defender has established himself as one of the best right-backs in Italy through his performances for Napoli and there is no doubt his addition would fortify Spurs’ full-back department.
