- Tottenham Hotspur have a verbal agreement with Andy Robertson
- Juventus have now made an offer for the Scottish international
- Robertson will leave Liverpool for free this summer
Tottenham Hotspur are wasting no time in adding to their squad after officially avoiding relegation on the last day of the Premier League season.
Andy Robertson has a verbal agreement to join Spurs, with the Scottish defender finally set to leave Liverpool after nine seasons.
However, if reports from Italy are to be believed, Juventus have now launched a late move for the left-back.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are still frontrunners, but the Serie A side’s interest will surely throw a spanner into the works of their transfer plans.
Juventus make offer for Andy Robertson
Robertson has been a key player for club and country for nearly a decade now and has won every major trophy with Liverpool.
However, the 2025-26 season was a challenging one for him at Anfield as he lost his place to Milos Kerkez, who is Arne Slot’s first-choice left back at the club.
Robertson – along with Mohamed Salah – bid farewell to the Liverpool faithful on Sunday, with the pair set to move on after a successful spell in Merseyside.
As we mentioned earlier, Tottenham already have a verbal agreement to sign the Scot, with the deal now ready to be formalised after De Zerbi’s side confirmed their Premier League status.
However, the reliable Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Juventus have now made an offer for Robertson as they look to bolster their squad under Luciano Spalletti.
The report also states that Tottenham remain the priority for Robertson, as they wanted to sign him in January and moved quickly to lay the groundwork for a potential summer deal.
Fabrizio Romano, however, claims a ‘hijack’ from Juventus is still possible, so we’ll have to wait and see how this one pans out.
Tottenham can rest easy
Tottenham also have a verbal agreement to sign Marcos Senesi, who will leave Bournemouth on a free transfer after a hugely successful spell with the Cherries.
De Zerbi’s side have moved quickly to add experience to their backline, which has been desperately devoid of confidence in recent months.
Juventus have made a move for Robertson, but it remains unclear if he would move to Italy at this stage of his career.
A move to Tottenham would mean he and his family can remain in England, with Robertson playing the bulk of his career in this part of the world.
Additionally, Spurs already have a verbal agreement with him, subject to their Premier League status, which has now been confirmed.
Never say never in football, but we firmly believe Robertson will be announced as a Tottenham player before the 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off.
