Spurs Set to Launch bid for Arsenal Target

Adrien Rabiot’s name has been linked with Spurs numerous times over the past few transfer windows and this is not about to change as January lurks around the corner.

With Tottenham in magnificent form approaching the busy Christmas period, Mauricio Pochettino and his back-room staff will be looking for reinforcements and according to French outlet Buzzsport, the PSG starlet is top of their list.

A combative, holding midfielder, Rabiot would provide much-needed cover for Eric Dier in the middle of the park, and could be a brilliant back-up should the England international sustain injury.

The 20-year-old is seemingly a perfect fit for Pochettino, being a young, energetic technical player, he would theoretically slot perfectly into the side, alongside the likes of Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele.

However, with Francis Coquelin out for a number of months, Arsenal are reported to be favourites for the Frenchman’s signature, as their injury list piles up yet again.

Arsene Wenger is reported to be a big fan of Rabiot and the lure of immediate first-team football in a Champions League side may prove to be too much of a temptation for the youngster.

Despite this, the Spurs boss will hope the promise of more long-term first-team action will draw in his target and with a potentially great spell in store for Tottenham, the Argentine may well get his man.

Regardless of which team the PSG midfielder signs for, Rabiot will significantly improve both sides and could prove to be a great piece of business for either of the North London Clubs.
